Born in Easton, MD to the (late) May Copper and (late) Mary Louise Dawson. Mr. Bell left Easton, MD as a young man and moved to Providence, RI. He worked many years as a machinist. Fishing was a great passion and he spent many hours with his close cousin, Phillip Copper. Most days you would find him spending time with his grandson, Damari. He leaves behind the (late) Delores Thomas, Providence, RI, his long term companion. The mother of his children Maggie Bell of Providence,RI. His brothers the (late) Buster Copper, Easton, MD, (late)Charles Copper, (late) James Lester Bell of Centerville,MD and James Edward (Chicken) of Centerville, MD. Also two sisters, (late)Blanch Dawnson, Providence RI and (late)Mary Elizabeth Roberts, Easton, MD. Joseph's legacy lives through his children, the (late) Joseph Bell, Jr. Providence, RI, Lorraine Alexander, Severn, MD. Allen Bell, Easton, MD, Sherry Perkins, Providence, RI, Curtis Bell of Easton, MD, Tyrone Bell, Woonsocket, RI, Kathy Judd, Pawtucket, RI and Arina Ribeiro of North Providence, RI. There are 38 grandchildren, 86 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 25th from 5pm until 7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private.
